How we research and check our articles
Last updated
Every Nooroots guide answers one question people actually ask, in plain English, and shows you the research behind the answer.
Where the evidence comes from
We use published human studies first: randomised controlled trials, and reviews that pool several trials. Animal and lab studies are only mentioned as early research, and we say so. Every study we cite links to its record on PubMed or its DOI, so you can read it yourself.
How we report a study
We say who took part, how many people, the dose, how long it ran and what changed. Each finding gets a label: Strong (several good trials agree), Moderate, Early (one or two small trials) or Mixed. If a trial was paid for by an ingredient maker, or used a different dose from ours, we say so.
What we won't do
Our supplements are food supplements, not medicines. We never say they treat, cure or prevent any illness. Studies in people with a medical condition are reported as research, not as a reason to take a product. If you're pregnant, take medicines or have a health condition, speak to your GP or pharmacist first.
Who writes and checks
Each guide is written and then reviewed by a member of the Nooroots team before it goes live. We use AI tools to help with research and drafting. A person checks every article against the original studies before it's published.
Keeping articles up to date
We review each guide every 6 to 12 months, or sooner when important new research comes out. The "Last updated" date only changes when the content does.
